Planning Consultant - Birmingham\n\nI'm currently working with a well-established and highly regarded planning and land consultancy that is looking to appoint a Planning Consultant to join its growing Birmingham team.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a motivated planner to be part of a collaborative, commercially minded consultancy that works on a diverse range of projects across the UK, including residential, commercial, infrastructure and regeneration schemes.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Planning Consultant, you'll be involved in the delivery of planning advice and applications from an early stage through to determination. You'll work closely with colleagues, clients and local authorities, gaining exposure to a wide variety of projects and developing strong professional relationships.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\nPreparing and managing planning applications, appeals and supporting statements\nUndertaking site appraisals and providing planning advice to clients\nEngaging with local authorities, stakeholders and statutory consultees\nContributing to project strategy and delivery within agreed timescales\nSupporting senior colleagues on more complex planning mattersAbout You\n\nMy client is keen to speak with planners who are ambitious, personable and commercially aware.\n\nYou'll ideally have:\n\nA degree in Town Planning or a related discipline\nWorking towards (or already holding) MRTPI status\nExperience within a consultancy or local authority planning role\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nThe ability to manage your own workload and work effectively as part of a teamWhat's on Offer\n\nA competitive salary and benefits package\nClear progression and structured career development\nExposure to high-quality, varied projects\nA supportive and professional team environment in BirminghamIf you're a planning professional looking to take the next step in your career within a respected consultancy environment, I'd be delighted to discuss this opportunity with you in more detail
