Town Planner\n\nLocation: Central London\n\nPenguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a well respected consultancy, in their search for a Town Planner to join their Central London planning team.\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for a Planner with around 1-2 years' experience to join a respected consultancy, working across a wide range of assets and gaining exposure to projects spanning heritage, regeneration, and mixed-use development across London.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Town Planner, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of planning applications and site appraisals, while developing your experience across the full planning lifecycle within a collaborative and multidisciplinary team environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupporting the preparation of planning applications, appeals, and site appraisals across a varied asset base\n\nUndertaking site visits and reviewing planning history and relevant policy\n\nAssisting with research to support projects from early strategy through to determination\n\nWorking closely with senior planners and internal teams to deliver high-quality outcomes\n\nKeeping up to date with planning legislation, case law, and policy updates\n\nSupporting the preparation of internal CPD material and planning updates\n\nEngaging with clients and Local Planning Authorities to build professional confidence and networks\n\nCandidate Requirements\n\n1-2 years' experience in planning (consultancy, developer, or local authority)\n\nIdeally experience working within the London boroughs\n\nMRTPI Chartered or working towards Chartership\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\n\nProactive and motivated approach to professional development\n\nWhat's on Offer\n\nOpportunity to work across a broad and diverse client base\n\nEarly responsibility and autonomy on live projects\n\nSupportive team culture with mentoring and structured development\n\nFlexible working arrangements\n\nPrivate medical cover and pension\n\nClear pathway for career progression\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a Town Planner looking to further their career within a well-established consultancy in Central London.\n\nIf you are interested in this opportunity, contact Joel Bland on (phone number removed) or email at (url removed)
