Job Description

Trade Finance Operations Manager

London / Office based 4 days per week

Salary: £55-65,000 plus benefits and bonus

A market leading FinTech organisation are seeking a Operations Manager to oversee a high performing team responsible for reviewing, verifying, and authorising supplier‑related finance activity across a portfolio of SME clients.

Duties include:

Provide day to day direction, support and development of a high performing lending operations team. Establish clear expectations, track operational output, and ensure targets and quality measures are consistently met. Maintain accountability for operational excellence across all processes. Serve as the main point of escalation for complex or sensitive operational matters Ensure smooth and timely transactional processes. Partner with cross‑functional teams,including product, legal, and credit to build and refine operational processes Continuously review existing procedures to identify inefficiencies, simplify user journeys, and recommend enhancements. Implement scalable processes and procedures to support increasing volumes and business growth. Ensure all operational practices align with regulatory requirements governing lending and trade activity.

Skills and experience required:

Background in trade finance operations or similar credit‑focused environments. Familiarity with FX instruments and how they integrate into lending workflows. Ability to guide and coach teams within fast‑moving, evolving environments such as fintech or scaling financial services organisations. Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills. Comfortable owning complex issues, ensuring clear updates and driving matters through to resolution.
