About the Role
A leading player in the UK food sector is seeking an experienced Trading Director – Seafood to lead its commercial seafood division. This is a senior strategic role overseeing trading performance, supplier partnerships, commercial growth, and category profitability.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the seafood trading function, driving commercial strategy and margin performance
* Manage supplier relationships across UK and international markets
* Oversee pricing, category planning, and commercial negotiations
* Identify growth opportunities and develop long‑term trading plans
* Work closely with operations, procurement, and senior leadership teams
* Ensure compliance, quality, and sustainability standards are met

* Proven senior‑level experience in seafood trading or a closely related protein category
* Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering revenue and margin growth
* Excellent negotiation and supplier‑management skills
