Location: Duration: Temporary, Full Time R oles that require PVG Membership Please note that with effect from 1 April 2023 , where a role requires PVG membership, candidates will be required to meet the cost of the PVG membership . This applies only to roles with a full time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above . (Teaching roles and jobs at Grade 11 and above (currently £31,505 per annum / £17.31 per hour) The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members , and this cost will be deducted from an employee s first FULL month s salary payment. Job purpose/about the role The purpose of this role is to deliver the Silver City Heritage and Place Programme (SCH&PP) Traditional Skills Training Plan. The role will involve working closely with educational and third sector organisations as well as working closely with colleagues in the SCH&PP team and across Council services. Fixed-Term contract is for 5 years The post holder needs to hold as a minimum: A degree in history, building conservation, architecture, building surveying, planning, community work or a historic environment related discipline. The postholder is able to demonstrate: Proven relevant experience gained in skills training, project management, community engagement or similar in a customer facing role Knowledge of the employability and/or training sectors Experience of managing multiple projects or activities Management of consultants, contractors and other specialists Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation, including managing conflict Proven ability to communicate at all levels and build and maintain a network of contacts and partnerships and to work with volunteers, community groups and colleagues Ability to work effectively independently and in a team, including collaborative working with peers and stakeholders to achieve objectives Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines Analysis of data and information and production of cogent reports Managing budgets Confident in the use of ICT systems and programmes, including Microsoft 365 Some PR or marketing experience, using social media and other tools to reach a wide and diverse audience About Us Please see the Job Profile for further details.
