Job Title: Trainee Design Engineer (Fire Protection)Location: Harlow, EssexJob Type: Full-timeJob SummaryDue to continued growth, we are looking for a Trainee Design Engineer to join our team in Harlow.This role involves assisting with the design and layout of sprinkler, wet riser, and dry riser systems for large-scale commercial projects across London and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers and project managers while developing their knowledge of fire protection systems and industry standards.Full on-the-job training and support will be provided to help the successful candidate develop their skills and understanding of relevant standards such as BS EN 12845, BS 9990, and BS 9251.The RoleAssist with the preparation and completion of bespoke fire protection drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD and RevitSupport the completion of hydraulic calculations to ensure system efficiency and complianceCoordinate with other building services and external design teamsCarry out site surveys for design and installation purposesWork closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure designs meet project requirements and deadlinesRequirementsBasic computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)A strong willingness to learn and develop new technical skillsGood communication skillsStrong attention to detailFluent in EnglishAbility to work full-time from our Harlow officeDesirable (Not Essential)Experience with AutoCAD or other CAD softwareAn interest in engineering, construction, or building servicesJBRP1_UKTJ
