Job Description
Trainee / Junior Plant Maintenance Engineer\n\nWe are seeking a Trainee / Junior Plant Maintenance Engineer to join our landing gear MRO facility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some practical maintenance experience or a relevant maintenance/engineering qualification who is looking to start or develop their career in plant maintenance. Full training and support will be provided.\n\nYou will support the maintenance team with mechanical and basic electrical tasks, helping to ensure all equipment and facility areas are maintained to a high standard to support safe and efficient operations.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nAssist with the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facility areas.\nSupport fault-finding activities under supervision.\nCarry out daily machine and equipment checks, including basic statutory inspections.\nLearn and follow planned preventative maintenance routines.\nAssist with identifying and ordering spare parts.\nFollow all environmental, health, and safety procedures.\nWork shifts and support out-of-hours call-ins when trained and required.\n\nEducation & Qualifications\nQualification in mechanical, electrical, or maintenance engineering .\nEngineering or maintenance apprenticeship desirable but not essential.\nCandidates who have recently completed a qualification and are looking to start their career are encouraged to apply.\n\nExperience & Skills\nSome hands-on practical experience (e.g.
hand tools, basic mechanical work, maintenance tasks).\nMechanical and/or electrical interest or foundation knowledge.\nWillingness to learn plant systems such as pumps, motors, and pipework (PVC).\nExposure to systems such as gas ovens, chillers, rectifiers, air handling units, or air conditioning is advantageous but not required.\nComfortable working at heights or willing to be trained.\n\nPersonal Qualities\nKeen to learn and develop technical skills.\nAble to follow verbal and written instructions.\nWorks safely with tools and equipment.\nCan work effectively as part of a team and with minimal supervision.\nFlexible approach to working hours, including occasional overtime and weekends.\n\nEligibility:\nMust have full right to live and work in the UK.\n\nShift Pattern - Double Days (Monday to Friday):\n\nWeek 1: 6am - 2pm\n\nWeek 2: 2pm - 10pm\n\nPay:\nFrom £28,000 per annum\n\nIf you are interested, please apply now or contact Callum Withey for more information
