This role is within our Client's lovely offices based in countryside in the West Essex area close to Epping/Loughton/Chigwell - a car driver is essential due to the office location. Trainee Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements

Our long term Client who works within the bespoke joinery sector is looking for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to assist with commercial management across all projects.
Ideally you are someone who has a Quantity Surveying Degree, 2-3 years' experience, strong numeracy skills, attention to detail, IT proficiency (especially Excel), and good communication skills.
You will be working closely with the Commercial Manager; with their role & responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following tasks:

Trainee Quantity Surveyor Role
Commercial management of projects from Contract Award, through to Practical Completion
Liaising with Purchasing Dept, in relation to material procurement.
Managing project variation accounts, through to Final Account negotiations / agreement
Managing subcontractor accounts & payments
Site visits to monitor progress
Monthly cost reporting, highlighting potential cost variances & risks
Monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR)
Liaising with Clients, Main Contractors, Subcontractors & Suppliers to develop relationships

Salary 30-35k doe
Hours 8am-5pm Monday to Friday
Office based
Company Pension - Following 3 months service
Private Health - Following 12 months service
Monthly mobile allowance
Holidays - 20 days holidays ( plus bank hols). Hols increase 1 day per year up to 25 days
