Job Title: Trainee Quantity Surveyor

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £22,000 - £30,000 (dependent on experience)

We are currently seeking a driven and enthusiastic Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established subcontractor based in Birmingham, operating within the residential groundworks sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or progress their career in quantity surveying, offering hands-on experience across a wide range of residential groundwork schemes. You will be working closely with an experienced commercial team, receiving support and training to develop your knowledge and grow within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with cost estimation and preparation of tender documents

Measuring and valuing works on-site

*

Supporting the preparation and submission of interim and final accounts

*

Working with the site and project teams to ensure cost control and financial reporting

*

Assisting in the procurement of subcontractors and materials

*

Maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions

Requirements:

A qualification in Quantity Surveying or a construction-related subject (or currently working towards one)

Strong numeracy and analytical skills

*

Excellent communication and attention to detail

*

Eagerness to learn and develop in a commercial environment

*

A full UK driving licence is but not essential
