Trainee Service Engineer / Trainee Service Technician / Junior Service Engineer required to join a global, leading engineering manufacturer.

The Successful Trainee Service Engineer / Trainee Service Technician / Junior Service Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, fault finding and maintenance on compressed air equipment including compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and associated compressed air products at customer sites across North West with occasional travel to Manchester for training and parts collection.

The Trainee Service Engineer / Trainee Service Technician / Junior Service Engineer will ideally have hands-on experience in electromechanical or mechanical engineering. Preference will be given to candidates with a mechanical qualification, apprentice trained, FGas, NVQ level 3, city & guilds, HNC, HND or similar with hands on mechanical engineering servicing or installations. Full product training provided.

Trainee Service Engineer / Trainee Service Technician / Junior Service Engineer Role
To provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites.
The Compressor Service Engineer will undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, fault finding of compressed air systems, nitrogen generators, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and other compressed air products.
Installing compressed air/water & nitrogen pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment.
Liaise with various engineering departments.
Working at customer sites throughout Northwest UK with occasional travel to Manchester for training and parts collection.

Trainee Service Engineer / Trainee Service Technician / Junior Service Engineer Requirements
Willingness to learn complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems.
Experience as a Trainee Service Engineer, Apprentice Engineer, Apprentice Technician, Graduate Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineer, Entry level Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Field Service Engineer or similar.
Hands-on experience in mechanical domains with a willingness to learn and be part of a global manufacturer.
Strong understanding of three-phase electrics and controls, with hands-on experience is advantageous.
Mechanical qualification, apprentice trained, FGas, NVQ level 3, city & guilds, HNC, HND or similar would be a plus.
Determination to learn the compressed air industry and related fields with enthusiasm for career progression opportunities.
Flexibility to travel across North West UK with occasional travel to Manchester for training and parts collection
