Job Description

The Ted Ellis Trust has a rare and exciting opportunity to train and employ an individual looking to pursue a career in conservation. The successful applicant will work alongside the warden at Wheatfen Nature Reserve to learn and develop the skills and knowledge required to look after this and similar Broadland sites.

Requirements include:

· Have a passion for protecting the natural world and sharing this with other people

· Have a basic understanding of ecology and conservation

· Readiness to train and use powered tools and equipment for site management

· Prepared to work outside at all times of year, often in difficult terrain

· Ability to work safely and understand the hazards to yourself, those working with you and the visiting public

· Experience in the use of Microsoft applications

Terms:

· 12-month Fixed Term Contract,

· Working 37 hours per week, including Saturdays plus some Sundays

· Willingness and ability to travel to and work at the reserve

· National Living Wage at £12.21 per hour, regardless of age.
