Role: Training Manager (Engineering / Electrical)
Location: Warrington
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Company Car
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Training Manager to join a leading High Voltage installation contractor delivering critical infrastructure projects across the UK.
This is a hands-on, site-based role where you will be responsible for delivering and overseeing vocational training, supporting apprentices and experienced engineers, and ensuring high standards of competency across the workforce.
You will play a key role in delivering a Level 3 Substation Fitter qualification, working closely with learners to help them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured vocational and technical training to engineers and apprentices
  • Conduct on-site assessments and support learners through NVQ qualifications
  • Mentor, coach and develop individuals at varying experience levels
  • Ensure training delivery aligns with industry standards and compliance requirements
  • Support the continuous improvement of training programmes
  • Travel to sites across the UK to engage directly with the workforce

What We're Looking For
We're keen to speak with candidates who have a strong combination of engineering experience and training/assessment capability.

Essential:

  • Experience delivering technical training, instruction or coaching
  • Background in electrical engineering, construction, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance-driven environments
  • Ability to engage, mentor and develop learners on-site
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

Desirable:

  • A1 Assessor / CAVA qualification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience with NVQs or apprenticeship programmes
  • Exposure to High Voltage / Substation environments
  • Ex-forces background (e.g. Royal Engineers, Navy, RAF engineering roles)
