Role: Transport Compliance Manager Location: Wakefield Salary: £40,000 - £42,000

A well-established, rapidly growing UK business with a nationwide operation is seeking a Transport Compliance Manager to take ownership of driver and vehicle compliance across a substantial fleet.

Reporting to the Head of Transport, this role is central to maintaining operational safety, legal compliance, and efficiency across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain all vehicle compliance records - service history, MOTs, brake tests, LOLER. Manage a rolling 12-month maintenance schedule. Conduct and lead 6-monthly compliance audits. Oversee defect reporting, investigation, and resolution. Monitor driver hours and tachograph data via Tachomaster. Investigate missing mileage, card issues, and lead-in time compliance. Liaise with the transport team to communicate compliance updates. Ensure third-party suppliers meet all legal and safety obligations.

Key Experience

Proven experience as a Transport Compliance Manager within a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain environment. Strong knowledge of DVSA regulations and tachograph legislation. Proficient with digital compliance systems (e.g., Tachomaster). Organised, accurate, and detail-focused. International CPC - Essential NEBOSH/IOSH - Desirable
