Role: Transport Operations Manager\n Location: Sheffield\n Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + benefits\n Sector: Third-Party Logistics (3PL)\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nFull operational management of transport activities across multiple customers and contracts\nLead, develop, and performance-manage transport planners, supervisors, and drivers\nEnsure compliance with all UK transport legislation, including Operator Licence, WTD, and tachograph regulations\nManage fleet utilisation, route planning, and resource allocation to maximise efficiency and profitability\nControl transport budgets, monitor KPIs, and deliver cost-saving initiatives without compromising service\nAct as the senior operational point of contact for customers, resolving issues and supporting account growth\nDrive continuous improvement projects across safety, service, cost, and sustainability\nWork closely with warehouse, commercial, and senior leadership teams to support wider business objectives \n\nKey Experiences\n\nProven experience as a Transport Operations Manager (or senior Transport Manager) within a 3PL or contract logistics environment\nStrong working knowledge of UK transport legislation and compliance requirements\nDemonstrated ability to lead and motivate operational teams in a high-pressure environment\nCommercially minded, with experience managing budgets and driving operational efficiencies\nConfident stakeholder manager, able to work with customers and internal teams at all levels\nInternational CPC - Essential
