Job Description
Role: Transport Planner\n\nLocation: Leeds\n\nSalary: £28-£44k (DOE)\n\nRef: MAR846\n\nOur client is an award-winning regional consultancy, providing specialist development planning and infrastructure services to the property industry. They are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Transport Planner to join their busy transport planning team in Leeds.\n\nThey have a team of over 40 engineers, transport planners and technicians, and they believe this makes them the largest team specialising in this field of the industry operating in the region.\n\nPurpose of the Role:\n\nTo undertake a Transport Planner role within the busy Transport Team, assisting senior colleagues with delivering multiple private sector-based planning stage projects for numerous different clients. This would include the following day-to-day tasks:\n\n * Preparing Transport Assessments / Statements, Transport Feasibility Studies and Travel Plans\n\n * Undertaking traffic and distribution analysis, junction capacity modelling, and assessment of associated datasets\n\n * Undertaking site visits and accessibility/active travel audits\n\n * Assisting with developing multi-modal site access strategies and / or off-site highway improvement\n schemes\n\n * Utilising AutoCAD, GIS, TRICS, TEMPRO, JUNCTIONS software\n\n * Cross-team working with colleagues in our Flood Risk & Drainage Team\n\nThere will be excellent opportunities to get involved in all aspects of our transport planning work with both internal and external training and mentoring provided.\n\nQualifications/Experience:\n\n * Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography or other relevant subject\n\n * MSc Transport Planning advantageous, but not essential\n\n * Ideally around 2-4 years’ experience working in development planning, ideally in the private sector, in order to demonstrate the experience in the type of workload that they would require\n\n * Willingness to work towards securing professional qualification (i.e.
