The Role
As a Transport Planner, you will take responsibility for the effective and cost-efficient planning of vehicles, ensuring legal compliance and meeting customer requirements. This role requires a proactive and organised individual capable of managing daily operations and maintaining strong communication across multiple stakeholders.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Plan vehicle schedules, taking into account load factors, customer opening hours, driver hours, and legal requirements.
* Manage Profit & Loss within your area of control.
* Supervise daily operations to ensure collections and deliveries are executed as planned.
* Maintain timely and effective communication with office staff, customers, subcontractors, and drivers.
* Use your initiative to make informed decisions within your remit.
