Join our team as a Transport Planner!

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Transport Planner to join our client based in Wimborne.

You’ll be a part of the Transport Management team reporting to the Operations Manager, and will be expected to provide a high level of service to customers and ensuring that the driving force and vehicles are efficiently and effectively utilised.

Your responsibilities as a Transport Planner:

* Providing excellent customer service whilst dealing with customer orders

* Answering incoming calls, emails and entering orders onto the ordering and routing systems accurately

* Managing the drivers’ working day, producing schedules and processing delivery notes for invoicing

* Ensuring all orders are completed and correct details are placed against jobs

* Providing support to colleagues within the Transport Department and assisting the Transport Manager with the compliance of the fleet

* Adhering to company policies and procedures

* Complying with Health and Safety and environmental legislations

What we’re looking for:

* Good telephone manner and the ability to work under pressure

* Attention to detail and accurate administration skills

* Understanding and acceptance of Health and Safety and environmental regulations

* Understanding of HGV drivers Working Time Directive
