Transport AutoCAD Technician Birmingham | £30,000 - £38,000\n\nI'm working with a well-established transport and infrastructure consultancy that delivers integrated services across transport planning, highways (S278/S38) design, drainage, environmental planning, and project delivery. Operating nationally, the business works with a diverse range of public and private sector clients on development-led schemes. \nThe consultancy is continuing to expand it's new Birmingham office and is looking to appoint a Transport AutoCAD Technician to join one of the early hires in the team.

This role is focused on supporting the transport planning team, specialising in development planning projects, and helping deliver high-quality, technically accurate design outputs.\n\nThe Role\n\nSupport the transport planning team on development-led projects\nProduce and update highways and transport drawings using AutoCAD\nPrepare S278/S38 layouts, junction designs, and general arrangement drawings\nAssist with drawings for Transport Assessments and Transport Statements\nEnsure compliance with UK design standards and local authority requirements\nCoordinate with internal project teams to meet deadlines\nMaintain accurate electronic project records\nContribute to the establishment and growth of the Birmingham office\n\nRequirements\n\nStrong AutoCAD skills (essential)\nExperience in highways, transport, or civil engineering design\nExposure to development planning projects\nKnowledge of S278/S38 schemes (desirable)\nGood attention to detail and a collaborative mindset\n\nSalary & Benefits\n\n£30,000 - £38,000 (depending on experience)\nAdditional annual leave\nProfit sharing and performance bonuses\nPension scheme\nPrivate medical and dental insurance\nCycle to work scheme\nSalary sacrifice car scheme\nCompany events\nPlease get in touch if interested!\n\nWill Herman \n (phone number removed) \n\nAldwych Consulting values and promotes equality.
