Transport Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and organised Transport Supervisor to oversee daily transport operations, ensuring compliance with UK regulations and high levels of customer service and initiating a project to make routing more efficient based in Reading.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong leadership skills to join a growing logistics team.
The rate of pay is £36,000 per annum
This is a full-time role working fixed shifts, Monday to Friday, and the hours of work are: - 7am to 5pm
Your Time at Work As a Transport Supervisor you will be responsible for:
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day transport activities - Maintain the Operating License - Plan and optimise delivery routes to maximise efficiency and reduce costs - Ensure compliance with all UK transport legislation, including drivers' hours and tachograph regulations - Monitor vehicle utilisation, maintenance schedules, and defect reporting - Manage and support a team of drivers, including performance monitoring and training - Liaise with warehouse, customer service, and external partners - Handle transport-related issues, delays, and customer queries - Maintain accurate records and prepare operational reports
