TheRole
At this time, we are seeking to strengthen our Board by appointing a Trustee with dedicated Board/Director level experience in successful people and organisational development, to help support our strategic objectives and to continue the significant positive impact which our people initiatives have had on our operational caring activities.
- Continued evolution of our People and Organisational Development strategy, collaborating with the Board and Executive Leadership to support the development and implementation of that strategy aligned with the organisations mission, vision and values.
- Chair our Board People Committee working with other trustees and our Executive leads.
- Work closely with the executive FitzRoy People Director, acting as a sounding board on the impact of our strategic direction on our people and organisational development efforts.
- Work with the FitzRoy People Director to understand and plan for the successful impact of latest trends such as digitisation, AI and technology change, and government legislation such as the Employment Rights Act 2026, on our people approach and priorities
- Hold the light for FitzRoys values, to ensure that developments in our people strategy and actions align with and do not dilute the close link our staff have to our values
As a Trustee you will have the opportunity to influence our development in this critical area, and with the other members of our Board, you will be responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the Charity.
We welcome applications from communities currently under-represented on our Board, specifically those with Black or Asian heritage and women. We value a range of mixed voices and aspire to a governance which reflects the diversity of our workforce and the people we support.
Trustee experience in the charity or social care sector is not required, and training and mentorship will be available to those interested in developing their leadership skills through being a Trustee.
We do encourage applications from those with a personal experience of learning disability, autism or mental health issues.
