Unqualified Supply Teacher - BS25 Secondary

New Yesterday

Protocol Education is recruiting an Unqualified Supply Teacher to support lessons in a well-established BS25 secondary school. This is a flexible, ad hoc role.

As an Unqualified Supply Teacher, you’ll supervise KS3 and KS4 Science classes, guide pupils through pre-set work, and keep learning on track.

The school is structured, calm and consistent, with clear behaviour systems that make classroom management straightforward. Pupils understand expectations, and SLT are visible and supportive.

The School

This BS25 secondary school is rated Good by Ofsted and has a strong reputation locally for being calm, purposeful and ambitious.

What’s helpful to know as a cover supervisor?

• Behaviour is described as calm and positive, with clear expectations across the school
• Pupils are respectful and used to structured routines
• Staff share consistent behaviour systems, so you won’t be reinventing the wheel each lesson
• A broad and ambitious curriculum means departments are well organised, including History
• SLT are visible and supportive, with strong safeguarding systems in place
• The school promotes kindness, curiosity and determination alongside academic achievement

For a cover supervisor, that means clear seating plans, centralised behaviour policies, and a culture where pupils understand expectations. You’re there to guide learning, not firefight.
