Unqualified Teaching Assistant - SEND Support (Primary Schools)

Location: Liverpool Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Temporary (Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available) Pay: £109 per day Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting Unqualified Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs within mainstream primary schools across Liverpool. These roles involve working closely with children who require consistent and structured support due to SEND, physical needs, medical needs and behavioural challenges. We are therefore looking for individuals who already have experience supporting children or young people with additional needs in a relevant setting. Suitable experience may come from care environments, children's residential settings, youth work, medical roles, or specialist education, where supporting behaviour, emotional needs and safeguarding are a key part of the role.

The Role:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs. Support children with behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement. Assist with physical or medical needs where required. Work closely with teachers to adapt learning and maintain classroom structure. Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and developing independence. Consistency is key, so building strong, trusting relationships with pupils is essential.
