Milk Education are working with a friendly and supportive primary school in North Tyneside who are seeking to appoint an Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis after the Easter break. This role will be based in Key Stage 1 and is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience within a primary school setting. This position would suit a recent graduate who is considering a career in education, or someone with previous experience working with children who is looking to move into a school environment. This Unqualified Teaching Assistant role will involve: Supporting the class teacher within a KS1 classroom Working with small groups of pupils and occasionally on a 1:1 basis Assisting with classroom activities and learning tasks Helping prepare classroom resources and materials Encouraging pupil engagement and positive behaviour To be considered for this role you should have either: A recent degree in any subject Previous experience working with children (voluntary experience is fine) Relevant experience may include: Youth clubs or youth work Sports coaching Dance teaching or activity instructors Tutoring or mentoring Voluntary work with children Holiday clubs, camps or after-school activities The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, patient and passionate about supporting children in their learning and development.
