This full-time opportunity is ideal for someone who has worked with children in other settings and is now ready to take the next step into education. No formal qualifications are required- just a positive attitude, a passion for helping young learners, and some relevant hands-on experience.
The Role:
Assist the class teacher with delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities
Support pupils one-on-one or in small groups, including those who may need extra help
Promote positive behaviour and help create a safe, inclusive classroom environment
Help with classroom organisation, displays, and general admin tasks
Support children's social, emotional, and academic development throughout the day
Follow safeguarding procedures and escalate concerns where necessary
Who This Role Would Suit:
We’re particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience in child-focused roles such as:
Sports coaching for children or youth teams
After-school club or holiday camp leader
Nursery or preschool assistant
Swimming instructor or dance teacher for children
Youth group leader, scout/guide volunteer, or similar roles
These experiences demonstrate key skills like behaviour management, communication, adaptability, and a natural ability to engage and motivate children.

Passionate about supporting young learners and making a difference in their lives
Patient, caring, and enthusiastic with strong interpersonal skills
Reliable, organised, and able to work effectively as part of a team
Eager to learn and open to feedback and training
Confident in working with children from a range of backgrounds and abilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
