We're now looking for a UPS Power Quality Field Service Engineer to join our UK team who will cover the Southern UK region.
What youll do:
As the UPS Power Quality Field Service Engineer, you will deliver exceptional service to Eatons customers. In this role, you will carry out preventative maintenance on Eaton-manufactured UPS systems and support existing installations to ensure optimal performance. You will play a key role in supporting hyperscale data center operations across the region.
Responsibilities:
Perform fault diagnosis on UPS systems
Work confidently with on-line and line-interactive UPS technologies
Conduct preventative maintenance across an established customer base
Commission and repair all UPS system types, including standalone and parallel configurations
Set up and configure remote monitoring software
Communicate technical information to key stakeholders
Apply anti-static procedures consistently
Follow the ECN process for all repairs
Qualifications:
HNC or higher in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of three-phase electrical installation or maintenance
Solid understanding ofUPS systems
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols:Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE, TCP/IP
Understanding ofPLC programming (power control, generator control, SCADA, process control)
Skills:
Strong communication and customer-focused approach
Problem-solving mindset
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Adaptable and confident in fast-paced environments
Collaborative team player
