They came about as a result of the 1949 National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act, which put a legislative framework in place for the establishment of National Parks in England and Wales. The Role The Usk Catchment Partnership consists of organisations which have come together to improve the viability of the river Usk and its wider catchment area. The post holder will project manage and help deliver key outputs of the nutrient management plan and develop an Integrated Catchment Management Plan for the River Usk Special Area of Conservation (SAC). Communication, engagement and involvement of a wide range of people interested in the natural features, the culture and the heritage of this designated river will ensure successful delivery.
