UI UX Designer
Nottingham (Hybrid 3 days office / 2 days home)

• Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)
• Up to £45,000 per annum DoE

Key Responsibilities

• Design and prototype user-centric interfaces for web and mobile applications usingFigma.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define and refine user journeys.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gain deep insights into user needs and behaviours.
• Translate complex requirements into elegant, intuitive, and accessible design solutions.
• Create wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively.
• Design marketing websites and landing pages that are visually engaging and conversion optimised.
• Apply sound design principles, including hierarchy, contrast, consistency, and accessibility.
• Ask thoughtful, strategic questions to uncover user needs and business goals.
• Continuously iterate on designs based on feedback, analytics, and evolving user needs.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience designing for bothsoftware applicationsandmarketing websites.
• Strong proficiency inFigma, including component libraries, auto-layout, and prototyping.
• Solid understanding ofUX research methods, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
• Ability to balance creativity with usability and business objectives.
• Familiarity withresponsive design,accessibility standards, anddesign systems.
• Excellent communication skills able to present and justify design decisions clearly.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

Desirable Skills

• Awareness of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JS) and tools like Hotjar or Google Analytics to support collaboration with developers and inform design decisions.
• Familiarity with SEO and CRO to support data-driven design decisions.
• Advanced Figma skills including scalable design systems, interactive prototypes, and collaboration features.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG), atomic design principles, and inclusive design practices.
• Ability to organise intuitive user flows, create personas and journey maps, and present design concepts aligned with business goals.
