Valuation Director – London Commercial Valuation Team My client, a leading nationwide consultancy, is seeking a Valuation Director to join their London Commercial Valuation team. The role covers a broad range of commercial valuation work, with a strong focus on Central London and the South East, delivering advice for loan security, financial reporting and general advisory purposes. Key Responsibilities
Undertake valuations of high-value commercial assets, including prime Central London properties. Produce clear, accurate RICS-compliant valuation reports and sign them off. Manage valuation instructions independently while working closely with the wider commercial team. Develop and maintain relationships with institutional investors, lenders, funds, developers, local authorities and public sector clients. Build and grow a strong professional network both internally and externally. Support and mentor graduate surveyors through their APC.
The Role
Work alongside fellow Directors to maintain best practice across the team. Operate with autonomy while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Participate in ongoing CPD and professional development. Work with colleagues across the business to identify and develop new opportunities. Play an active role in supporting the firm’s wider strategic objectives.
Technical Skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365. Experience with valuation software such as Argus Enterprise, Argus Developer and KEL.
Core Skills
Strong commercial property background. Pragmatic and solutions-focused approach. Excellent organisation and project management skills. Strong analytical and data management capability. High-quality report writing and communication skills. Solid knowledge of the RICS Red Book. Collaborative and resilient approach to work.
Background & Qualifications
Proven track record in preparing RICS Red Book valuations for lending, corporate reporting and advisory purposes. Strong commercial valuation experience is essential (residential exposure is welcomed but not required). MRICS and RICS Registered Valuer status.
