On behalf of Deutsche Bank, we are looking for a Vault Assistant for an initial 6 month contract based in the Banks London City Office, working 5 days per week from the office (please note there is no option for hybrid working in this role), on a PAYE day rate engagement.
Job description - the role

Our Operations group provides support for all of Deutsche Bank's businesses to enable them to deliver operational transactions and processes to clients. Our people work in established global financial centres such as London, New York, Frankfurt and Singapore, as well as specialist development and operations centres in locations including Bucharest, Moscow, Pune, Dublin and Bangalore. We move over EUR 1.6 trillion across the Bank's platforms, support thousands of trading desks and enable millions of banking transactions, share trades and emails every day.

We work across a wide range of product groups, including derivatives, securities, global finance and foreign exchange, cash and trade, loans and trust and securities services as well as cross-product functions

What you'll do:
Creation and effectuation of all MTN / ECP issued daily upon instruction from the DB India New Issuance desks.
Ensure safe receipt of Eurobonds from the SME London group and release to the ICSD's as necessary.
Processing of all VSS Deposits and Withdrawals, initially loaded by the New Issuance / London SME teams and Common Depository
Destruction of all issuances upon redemption and ensure correct four-eye processes are adhered to.
Create and file all CD New Issuances within the correct ICSD locations held in the Vault.
Receive and process all CD Realignment instructions on a daily basis and ensure that all CD's are filed correctly.
Retrieve all CD Maturities that mature each day and file accordingly until the relevant destruction period has been reached.
Undertake weekly reconciliation of physical certificates held within the vault and produce statements that can be sent to the respective Control and Administration groups.
Monitoring and actioning of group mailbox to ensure that all e-mail queries and requests are dealt with in a timely manner.
Capture incomplete daily tasks and feed into any Key Risk Indicators and track to completion.
The skills you'll need:
Previous experience working within a Bank Vault, dealing with physical documentation would be beneficial, however experience working with physical documents within a banking environment may also be considered.
The ability to learn new concepts quickly and the confidence to work through unfamiliar processes.
Good time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple streams of work in a group and individual environment.
The ability to react positively to change and re-prioritise where needed.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word & Powerpoint

This client will only accept workers operating via a PAYE engagement model.
