Vehicle Mechanic / HGV Mechanic About the Role

Are you a skilledVehicle or HGV Mechaniclooking for a new technical challenge in a unique and fast-paced environment? This is an exciting opportunity to join amarket-leading Ground Service Equipment (GSE) providersupporting operations atManchester Airport.

Youll work on a wide range of specialist airport vehicles and equipment, combining workshop-based tasks with airside maintenance. No two days are the same!

Vehicle Mechanic / HGV Mechanic-What Youll Be Doing

  • Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing specialist airport equipment
  • Working on vehicles such as aircraft tugs, towing tractors, baggage elevators, and other GSE
  • Carrying out planned maintenance and reactive repairs
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with health & safety standards
  • Supporting airport operations by keeping critical equipment serviceable and compliant

Vehicle Mechanic / HGV Mechanic-What Were Looking For

  • Level 3City & Guilds / NVQin Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (essential)
  • Experience maintainingheavy vehicles, HGVs, plant, or light vehicles
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Good understanding of health & safety procedures

Experience with plant or airport equipment is desirable but not essential full training provided.

Vehicle Mechanic / HGV Mechanic- Requirements

  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Ability to obtain anairside pass(criminal record check + 5-year employment history required)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Proof of qualifications
