At ourSouthampton/Mazda site we are looking to recruit a Vehicle Technician to join this high performing team.

The Opportunity:

In your role as a Vehicle Technician, you will be authorised and responsible for the following:

• Conducting full examinations of vehicles (including electronic vehicle health checks);

• Identifynon-routine defects and faults either in the workshop or during vehicle road tests;

• Undertaketimelyrepair and servicing of customer vehiclesin accordance withtechnical standards;

• Provide a knowledgeable, courteous, responsive, and efficient service to all colleagues and workshop customers;

• Work closely with the front of house service team, ensuring they are kept informed of the progress on customer vehicles and are fully briefed on work completed;

• Discuss technical issues/works directly with customers whenrequested;

• Offer technical advice and support to workshop apprentices;

• Work with the wider workshop teamto design and implement new methods of work to improve efficiency.

About You:

• You will need to be an experience Vehicle Technician (ideally from a main dealer/franchise environment);

• Have relevant formal qualification (NVQ Level 3 / IMI / City & Guilds);

• Ability to work within defined processes and guidelines, and to promote best practice throughout the workshop;

• Be customer focused,possessgood communicationskills with the ability to explain technical information to a non-technical audience;

• Have a first-time fix mentality

• Committed to the development of your technical knowledge and skills;

• Be a team player, whether mentoring or supporting other Technicians;

• An MOT licensewould be highlyadvantageous, but not essential;

• A confident driver with a full UK driving license.
