As our Fleet Mechanic, youll play an important role in keeping our team moving. Youll help ensure our fleet is safe, reliable and ready for work by carrying out servicing, repairs and diagnostics. In this hands on role, youll be supporting the smooth running of our Workshops and helping our people work safely and effectively every day.

Find out if this opportunity is a good fit by reading all of the information that follows below. In this role, youll: Help keep the Workshops running smoothly day to day, taking on tasks as needed. Carry out annual services across our fleet. Complete routine inspections and servicing to keep our vehicles in top condition. Respond to breakdowns, diagnose issues and repair what you can on the spot or arrange recovery when thats the safest option. Get to the bottom of system faults, identify whats causing them and complete the necessary repairs. Visit sites when required to service or repair vehicles on location. Use repair manuals to identify the right parts and raise orders when replacements are needed. Repair or replace worn or damaged components. Dismantle and reassemble equipment, using technical manuals where needed. Keep accurate digital and paper records, completing all documentation on time. Maintain clear, detailed service histories in line with company processes. Keep colleagues updated with timely information during breakdowns and repairs. Build positive working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and clients. Follow all required safety processes on site, including inductions, briefings and sign ins. Maintain good working practices and explain technical details in a clear, approachable way. Follow all safe systems of work and health, safety and environmental procedures. Wed love to hear from you if you have: NVQ Level 2/3 in Light Vehicle Repair (or equivalent). Recent experience in a mechanic role. Confidence using digital systems and completing online records. Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills. A full UK driving licence. A methodical, practical approach to problem solving. Great attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Good communication skills. A self motivated attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
