Our client, a reputable independent garage in Thirsk, is seeking an experienced Specialist Vehicle Technician to become part of their expanding team. Benefits: * Basic salary up to approximately £38,000 * No weekend work; Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with an hour for lunch * Bonus paid on work brought in via referrals * Work with high-end diagnostic tools comparable to main dealer standards * Opportunity to develop expertise in retrofitting, engine work, tuning, track, and race applications * Join a garage renowned for solving complex vehicle issues that others cannot * Friendly working environment with a focus on professional growth * Up-to-date facilities and resources for comprehensive vehicle repair Duties: * Perform repairs, diagnostics, and servicing on various vehicles as a Vehicle Technician * Undertake major engine and electrical system repairs * Conduct detailed diagnostic checks to identify faults * Inspect vehicles for general wear and tear * Execute advanced tasks such as tuning, retrofitting, and engineering modifications * Complete complex repairs for high-performance and specialised vehicles as a Vehicle Technician * Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of workmanship Requirements: * Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Repair/Technician or equivalent * Proven experience working within a garage or main dealership environment * Excellent technical knowledge and diagnostic skills * Full UK driving licence * Own set of tools for vehicle repairs * Experience in the areas of retrofitting, engine modifications, tuning, or race work is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail The successful individual for the Specialist Vehicle Technician role will demonstrate significant technical expertise, a track record of handling complex vehicle repairs, and a commitment to delivering quality service.
