Vehicle Technician

This role requires a strong mix of technical expertise, organisation, and communication skills to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient workshop operations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Diagnosing and repairing fleet vehicles
* Carrying out Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs)
* Accurately tracking workshop time per vehicle
* Managing workshop stock and inventory
* Ensuring COSHH compliance, cleanliness, and security
* Booking and coordinating MOTs
* Providing technical support to operational teams on vehicle and equipment issues
Key Requirements:
* Extensive experience as an HGV Fitter / Mechanic
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
* Confident using hand tools and power tools
* Solid mechanical knowledge across engines and vehicle systems
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
* Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
Pay & Benefits
* £16.75 – £21.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
* Full-time, permanent position after 13 weeks on assignment

* On-site role with consistent hours and workload
