Our client, a reputable family-run independent service centre based in Wallingford, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop. Competitive salary between £30,000 and £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Monday to Friday working hours, 8:00am to 5:30pm, with two 30-minute breaksDuties of the Vehicle Technician:

Carry out fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles
Accurately diagnose faults and report vehicle conditions, safety, reliability, and performance issues to the Workshop Manager
Ensure work is completed following health and safety standards and quality procedures
Assist at the front desk during busy periods, including booking in/out work and handling customer inquiries
Maintain high standards of workmanship in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the workshopRequirements:

NECESSARY: Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
Desirable: IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (not essential if extensive practical experience is demonstrated)
Extensive practical experience as a Vehicle Technician, with the ability to work independently and take initiative
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Strong work ethic and motivation to achieve targets set by management
Ability to deliver high-quality work consistently in a busy workshop environment
An MOT testing license (Class 4 or 7) would be advantageous but is not essential
