VP of Software Engineering (Relocation to Kuwait)
Location: Kuwait (Full Relocation Required)
Industry: High-Traffic eCommerce / Digital Platforms
Reporting to: C-Level Executive / Board
Team Size: 100+ engineers (scaling)
About the Role
We are a high-growth, high-traffic eCommerce company operating at regional scale, processing millions of transactions and users annually .
We are building a long-term executive technology leadership team and are seeking a VP of Software Engineering who will relocate to Kuwait and own engineering strategy, execution, and organizational scale.
This is not a remote role and not a short-term contract .
This is a full executive mandate with ownership, autonomy, and board-level visibility.
What You Will Own
Full accountability for engineering strategy, delivery, and reliability
Scaling and leading large, multi-disciplinary engineering organizations
Architecture ownership for:
High-availability, high-traffic platforms
Cloud infrastructure, microservices, data platforms
Engineering governance:
SDLC, quality, security, observability, cost control
Talent strategy:
Hiring, structuring, succession planning, leadership development
Close partnership with:
Product, Data, Security, Operations, and Executive Management
Who We Are Looking For
Must-have
15+ years in software engineering
Proven experience as VP / Head of Engineering / Director+
Led platforms with:
Millions of users or orders
Peak traffic and mission-critical uptime
Strong background in:
Cloud- architectures (AWS/GCP/Azure)
Distributed systems
Modern engineering org design
Comfortable operating at board / C-suite level
Willing to relocate to Kuwait (long-term)
Nice-to-have
eCommerce, marketplace, fintech, or logistics experience
Experience scaling teams across regions
IPO-readiness or hyper-growth exposure
