Vice President, Senior Product Owner

New Today

Overview We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Product Owner to join our Trustee & Depositary team within Asset Servicing. This role is located in Manchester. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Responsibilities
Own a critical product area within the Trustee & Depositary re-platforming programme, with accountability for shaping and delivering outcomes that materially improve platform capability, control, and scalability over time. Provide product leadership within the Product function, acting as a visible and influential voice across Product Owners to align priorities, sequencing, and delivery outcomes within the broader transformation. Drive the re-platforming vision through hands‑on product ownership, taking accountability for requirements definition, prioritisation, and outcome-focused delivery across one or more Scrum teams. Act as a trusted subject matter expert for the transformation, providing insight, challenge, and decision support to Product Owners, Technology, and Operations partners as complex design, migration, and delivery trade-offs are made. Translate strategic intent into executable delivery plans, shaping backlog priorities, managing cross-team dependencies, and ensuring delivery remains coherent as scope and complexity increase. Ensure strong data foundations across your product area, shaping data requirements, influencing priorities, and aligning teams around shared data models, quality standards, and clearly defined migration outcomes. Own the journey beyond build, ensuring migration, adoption, and operational readiness are integral to delivery and that new capabilities are successfully embedded into day-to-day operations. Lead through influence rather than authority, proactively navigating ambiguity, surfacing delivery risks early, and helping resolve complex challenges across a wide stakeholder landscape. Role‑model modern, inclusive product leadership, supporting Product Owners through coaching, challenge, and example, and fostering strong collaboration and shared ownership during a period of significant change. Bring energy and commitment to complex transformation, motivated by solving hard problems, improving platforms at scale, and seeing tangible outcomes land in production.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Product Owner (or equivalent product role) delivering complex change in a large‑scale, technology‑enabled environment, ideally involving platform modernisation or re‑platforming initiatives. Demonstrated ability to influence and lead through collaboration, working effectively with Product Owner peers, Technology, Operations, and senior stakeholders to align on shared goals, priorities, and delivery decisions. Experience operating as a subject matter expert in complex delivery environments, providing informed challenge, guidance, and decision support across design, migration, and delivery activities. A solid understanding of data as a foundational enabler of transformation, including experience shaping data requirements and working with data, architecture, or governance partners to deliver trusted, high‑quality data outcomes. Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and resolve complex delivery challenges in a fast‑moving environment. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable direction for teams and stakeholders at different levels. A curiosity‑driven mindset for improving how work gets done, with an interest in leveraging modern tools, automation, and AI to enhance product delivery, insight, and team effectiveness. Experience working in financial services or another regulated industry, preferably in custody, depositary, or fund oversight activities. Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field, with a master's degree preferred.
