Job Title: Waking Night Support Worker

Salary: £27185 £27601 per annum
About Number Four:
home in Salford providing care and support to young people with mental health needs. Our approach is therapeutic, with a strong focus on emotional development and coping strategies. We work closely with a psychologist to ensure our team can offer a safe and nurturing environment that helps young people express and manage their emotions and acquire skills for later life.
Role Overview:
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will provide overnight support to young people, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and emotional needs are met. You will work as part of a dedicated team, applying therapeutic approaches and strategies to help young people develop coping skills and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide supervision, care, and emotional support to young people overnight.

Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment.

Implement individual care plans and support therapeutic interventions advised by the psychologist.

Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation through appropriate strategies.

Record and report significant incidents, behaviours, and progress.

Work collaboratively with the daytime care team to ensure continuity of care.

Support young people in developing life skills and independence.

Person Specification:
Experience in working with young people, ideally with mental health needs.

Understanding of therapeutic approaches and mental health support.

Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to work night shifts and participate in team meetings and training.

Relevant qualifications in social care or mental health support are desirable but not essential.
