Job title Warehouse Operative Reports to Depot Manager/Supervisor Job purpose To complete daily tasks in the warehouse, pick and pack customer orders, adhere to cleaning schedule across the warehouse and outside yard. To be able to understand stock rotation and FIFO concepts. To be able to accept, unload, check and book in large goods deliveries. Duties and responsibilities To pick and pack, stock, organise and rearrange products in the warehouse as required. To operate warehouse plant equipment as required. To check goods in against delivery notes for accuracy and damages To load and unload trucks in line with H&S procedures To ensure compliance with all Food Safety and Health and Safety companys policies. To move goods to relevant departments using pump trucks and operate fork lift machines. To maintain outside yard and department tidiness. To participate in any other reasonable, duties commensurate with the post. To have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment To operate the Warehouse Management System. Any other duties, commensurate with the post. Qualifications Basic Maths and English, good communicational skills Forklift driving experience desirable. Full understanding of FIFO and stock rotation Understanding and previous experience with WMS systems Manual handling, good manufacturing practices Team player Working conditions Full- time position, working on a shift-pattern Friendly working environment Physical requirements Good understanding of manual handling is necessary Personal protective equipment (PPE) fully provided Direct reports Reports to the Depot Manager/Supervisor
