Warehouse Operative/FLT Driver

Immediate Start We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading chemical manufacturing organisation, for a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operative to join their regional distribution centre in Duxford. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products across the warehouse and production areas.

Hours: 2-shift rotation (Earlies 6:00am–2:00pm / Lates 2:00pm–10:00pm, Monday–Friday
Pay Rate £14.18 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Offload and put away deliveries of raw materials

*

Pick and deliver materials to support production and packing departments

*

Collect and store finished products from production and packing areas

*

Pick and pack orders accurately to meet dispatch schedules

*

Maintain stock control and support inventory management

*

Safely operate forklift trucks and palletisers (approx. 70% of role involves operating this equipment)

*

Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and safe

*

Actively participate in health and safety initiatives to ensure a safe working environment

Candidate Requirements

*

Valid RTITB licences – ideally Counterbalance and Reach (VNA experience helpful but not essential)

*

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

*

Previous experience in a warehouse environment; experience with chemicals is advantageous

*

Good numeracy and English skills

*

Reliable, efficient, and able to work effectively as part of a team

*

Reasonable IT skills; experience with warehouse management systems, particularly SAP, is a plus
