Warehouse Stores Operative

Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-focused Warehouse Stores Assistant to join their Packing & Despatch operation. This is a permanent position, though a temp-to-perm arrangement will be considered to allow both parties to assess suitability.
This role would suit someone with previous warehouse or stores experience who takes pride in accuracy, organisation, and maintaining high standards in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive advice notes, locate listed products, and pack and despatch goods accurately and on time
* Receive and record supplier deliveries, allocating stock to kits or correct bin locations
* Pick, book in, and assemble products from pick lists to meet customer and quality requirements
* Assist with cyclic stock checks and maintain accurate records
* Maintain high levels of housekeeping throughout the stores area
* Report any health & safety concerns promptly to the relevant supervisor or H&S officer
* Comply with all company quality assurance procedures and internal processes
* Carry out ad hoc duties as required to support warehouse operations
Skills & Experience Required:
Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or packing & despatch environment
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
* Good organisational skills and ability to follow procedures
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
* Awareness of health & safety standards within a warehouse setting
* Positive, proactive approach to work
Desirable:
* Forklift licence (training can be provided)
* Experience with stock control or inventory systems
Working Hours:
* Monday – Thursday: 07:45 – 16:30 (1 hour lunch)
* Friday: 07:45 – 14:45 (1 hour lunch)
Once fully trained and by mutual agreement, lunch may be reduced by 30 minutes to allow for a later start or earlier finish.
