Job Opportunity: Waste & Recycling Operatives - Durham Council
Are you looking for active, hands-on work that makes a real difference in your community? We're hiring three Waste and Recycling Operatives to join our team supporting Durham Council . This is an ongoing opportunity with no set end date , offering flexibility and the potential to become permanent.
Key Details:
Location: DL17 0SD - must be able to get here for a 6:00 AM start
Working Days: Tuesday to Friday
Shift Length: Paid for 9.25 hours , even though most days finish around lunchtime
Pay Rate: Minimum £13.47 per hour
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Start Date: Induction on Wednesday 21st November
What You'll Be Doing:
Collecting, sorting, and recycling materials such as glass, metal, paper, and plastics
Working across various settings including recycling sites and collection vehicles
Supporting both residential and commercial waste services
