This is a hands-on role where you’ll help shape how waste is reduced across the site, working closely with production teams and CI specialists to turn data and ideas into real, measurable improvements.

What the role involves:
You’ll take ownership of the site’s waste reduction activity, working closely with operational teams and Continuous Improvement Managers to deliver measurable improvements. This isn’t just a support role — you’ll be leading initiatives, driving change, and ensuring improvements are sustained over time.
A key focus will be building structure around waste reduction activities, tracking progress, and making sure actions stay on course to deliver real results.
You’ll also play a big part in embedding a culture of continuous improvement across the site, helping teams understand how small changes can have a big impact.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
Reviewing data and identifying opportunities to reduce waste Leading the site’s waste improvement programme Managing and maintaining the waste project framework Tracking progress, risks, and resource requirements with operations teams Delivering training and coaching on waste reduction and CI tools Promoting a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement Ensuring improvements are embedded and sustained across operations Supporting delivery of long-term waste reduction targets across the site About you:
Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (food, drink, FMCG, or pharmaceutical preferred) Exposure to continuous improvement or quality-focused work Lean Six Sigma knowledge (Green or Black Belt) desirable Strong communication skills and ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders Confident influencing others and driving improvements through to completion Experience in a CI role is ideal, though strong manufacturing experience and an improvement mindset will also be considered
