We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Water Hygiene Technician to join our team and help ensure water systems are safe and compliant across the region.
Responsibilities
As a Water Hygiene Technician, your key responsibilities will include:
* Inspecting and cleaning water storage vessels, including leading on tank chlorinations. * Installing and servicing Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs). * Conducting routine monitoring tasks in line with HSG 274 Part 2, such as:
* Flushing water outlets. * Monitoring water temperatures. * Descaling showerheads. * Flushing pressure vessels. * Sampling for closed water systems.
* Utilizing the SimPRO system to manage your workload efficiently. * Identifying potential issues and proactively finding solutions. * Ensuring compliance with HSE's ACoP L8 and HSG274 guidelines.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A full, clean UK driving licence. * City & Guilds Legionella Awareness Training, equivalent qualifications, or suitable industry experience. * A strong understanding of HSE's ACoP L8 and HSG274. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Day-to-Day
Your day will involve traveling to customer sites to perform essential water hygiene tasks. You will be responsible for ensuring water systems are safe and compliant, using your expertise to deliver high-quality service. You will also manage your workload through our SimPRO system and work collaboratively with the team to maintain our professional standards.
