Water Service Technician
Location: Swindon (with nationwide travel)
Salary: £30k-40k Base
Start Date: ASAP
I’m currently partnering with a growing and highly regarded compliance and water management specialist that is continuing to expand its footprint. Due to sustained growth and an increasing client portfolio, they are looking to appoint an experienced and driven Water Service Technician to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes real pride in their work and wants to be part of a business that values high standards, technical competence, and professionalism on site. The role offers genuine variety, with work carried out across commercial, healthcare, and industrial environments throughout the UK. If you enjoy being out on the road, working autonomously, and delivering a quality service that keeps clients compliant and safe, this could be an excellent next move.
In this position, you will be responsible for delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) services in line with current legislation and industry standards. Your day-to-day duties will include water hygiene monitoring such as temperature checks, flushing, and inspections, as well as TMV servicing and basic maintenance. You will also carry out tank inspections, condition reporting, compliance checks, and minor plumbing repairs where required. A key part of the role will involve accurately completing service documentation, identifying non-compliances, and reporting remedial requirements in a clear and professional manner.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water hygiene and maintenance, with experience working in commercial or industrial settings. TMV servicing experience is essential, and Legionella or Water Hygiene awareness training is expected. An NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing would be advantageous, although practical experience and a solid understanding of compliance standards are equally important.
Beyond the technical skills, this role requires someone who is self-motivated, organised, and confident working independently while representing the business professionally on client sites. In return, you’ll be joining a company that is investing in growth, offering long-term stability, and providing the opportunity to develop your career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The interview process will consist of an initial telephone conversation followed by a face-to-face meeting.
If you’re an experienced Water Service Technician looking for a fresh challenge with a growing business, I’d welcome a confidential conversation to discuss the opportunity further
