PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The BBC South West weather team provides up to date and detailed forecasts for BBC Local Radio, regional TV and digital platforms for regions across England but primarily for the West and South West. Delivering live and pre-recorded content our weather presenters appear on-air several times a day, seven days a week starting with the news bulletins during BBC Breakfast. They also create engaging content for our social media and online platforms reporting on big weather events. We are looking for someone to join the team in a part time capacity.

WHY JOIN THE TEAM

This role requires someone who is at home in front of a camera and microphone. You'd be joining a hard working team of meteorologists who are passionate about what they do. You'd be working in Plymouth with an experienced team of journalists serving audiences across the West and South West, telling the weather story whether that's snow on Dartmoor, a drought in Cornwall or flooding in Wiltshire.
