Job Description
We are seeking a talented and energetic Weekend Breakfast Chef to join our catering team in Knottingley. As the Weekend Breakfast Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a canteen style breakfast. This role requires excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Plan and prepare a variety of breakfast items, ensuring high quality and consistency
Manage the breakfast kitchen operations during weekend shifts
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and timely food preparation
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards
Monitor and control food costs, minimizing waste while maintaining quality
Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients
Adapt to changing customer needs and dietary requirements
Qualifications
Proven experience as a breakfast chef or in a similar culinary role
Strong knowledge of breakfast food preparation techniques and trends
Excellent understanding of food safety principles and hygiene standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong time management and multitasking skills
Team player with good communication abilities
Current Food Safety Certification required
Experience in high-volume breakfast service
Knowledge of various dietary restrictions and allergens
Ability to work early morning hours and weekends
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
