My client in the Hemsworth area of Wakefield are looking for a skilled Welder / Fabricator.
Overview The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding various metal components with precision and attention to detail.

The position is paid and suitable for those with relevant experience in TIG welding, sheet metal work, and mechanical assembly.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metals, including sheet metal and fabricated components Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete fabrication tasks accurately Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure precise assembly Assist in the fabrication of metal structures, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality requirements Conduct inspections of welds for consistency, strength, and quality Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship
Requirements
Proven experience in TIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding techniques and safety procedures Proficiency in MIG welding and general fabrication processes Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical principles Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and perform basic measurements using standard tools Experience working with sheet metal and assembly processes is desirable Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with good problem-solving skills Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
