Welder/Fabricator

Jackson Hogg is supporting a local engineering/manufacturing business in their search for an experienced Fabricator/Welder. You will be helping create quality steel components unique to the client's specifications. You’ll be working from technical drawings, making sure every piece you work on is finished to a high standard and meets all tolerances.

What you’ll be doing:

* Fabricating and welding parts from engineering drawings

* Working with single and multi-run fillets, plus burning and grinding when needed

* Using hand tools and choosing the right welding method for each job

* Checking your welds and making sure everything is dressed and finished correctly.

* Reading and working from engineering drawings with a range of materials

Role Requirements:

* Strong eye for detail and pride in producing precise, quality work

* 5+ years’ experience in welding and fabricating

* Certified to EN ISO 9606-1:2017

* A good understanding of a range of materials

* Hands-on, practical and good with tools

This is a day shift role; however, as demand continues to increase, a requirement to move to shift work could be required.
