Our client, a well-established engineering and fabrication company, is looking to recruit a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in MIG and TIG welding, who is confident working with a range of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out MIG and TIG welding on various materials
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to fabricate bespoke components
Working independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines
Assisting with prototype builds and custom fabrications based on client specifications
Problem-solving and working efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Operating fabrication machinery including press brakes and guillotines
Performing general workshop tasks such as drilling and tapping
Occasional site work as required
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience in a fabrication workshop environment
Strong welding skills across multiple materials and techniques
Ability to fabricate accurately from technical drawings
Comfortable working on one-off projects and adapting to changing customer needs
Site work experience is highly advantageous
A proactive, team-oriented approach with strong attention to detail
